Day 1 : Arrival to Tunis
Arrival at Tunis Carthage Airport. An assistant from Batouta Voyages will meet you at airport. A small gift will be offered as a souvenir. Transfert to your favorite hotel in Tunis. Close to the city’s business district and administrative center, the hotel enables you to be immediately effective, leaving you the opportunity to discover the attractions of the city center, the medina and Great Mosque at the same time as being close to Sidi Bou Said and ancient Carthage. Day 2 : Carthage and Sidi Bou Said
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards the UNESCO World Heritage Site City of Carthage, the oldest Phoenician settlement on the coast of North Africa, and its glorious monuments: the Antonine thermae (baths), the Tophet of Salambo, the Amphitheatre, the Punic ports, the Acropolium and the archaeological museum of Carthage. We proceed to Sidi Bou said, stroll through its narrow streets bordered by whitewashed houses with blue shutters and doors. There, you can check out the various art galleries, try a “bambalouni”, a light and crispy Tunisian style doughnut with some mint tea in one of the cafés and enjoy the superb view of the gulf of Tunis from one of Sidi Bou’s traditional cafés. Departure to Hammamet. Check in at your hotel and overnight on Bed and Breakfast. Day 3 : Free at Leisure at Hammamet
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day free at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Hammamet on BB. Day 4 : Kairouan-Sousse Breakfast at hotel. Departure towards the holy city of Tunisia, Kairouan, Visit of the ninth-century Great Mosque of Oqba Ibn Nafi, an important reference point in Islam and Islamic architecture. Kairouan is the fourth holiest site in the Muslim religion (after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem). It is said that 7 pilgrimages to Kairouan equate one pilgrimage to Mecca. Trip to the coastal city of Sousse, third largest in Tunisia. Sousse is one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Tunisia. Visit of the ramparts, the Ribat dating from the 13th century and of the archaeological museum of Sousse where beautiful mosaics from ancient Hadrumetum were found. Overnight at hotel in Sousse on BB. Day 5 and 6 : Free at leisure Breakfast at the hotel. Overnight at hotel on BB. Day 7: Transfer to Tunis
